So over the summer as part of an epic US road trip my hubby and I dropped into LA for a few days of brunching, partying & living the high life!
If you’re thinking of planning a similar trip, check out our TOP 8 of what to do when in LALA LAND!
- STAY @ Mondrian WEHO (West Hollywood for those in the know!).
We spent a couple of nights at this super trendy hotel, with uber-modern decor and even a swing in the lobby. The Saturday pool party is a must – so have your Pitusa cover-up dress, big shades and wedges at the ready.
- DINNER @ NOBU Malibu
Wherever you are in the world you can’t go wrong with the infamous black cod and salmon sashimi. Especially here with a buzzing vibe and ocean views.
- BRUNCH @ The Ivy WEHO
Following a raucous Saturday night head for a laidback Sunday brunch at The Ivy. Well I say laid-back but dress up in your best smart casuals because you never know which film star celeb you might be sat next to at this hot-spot! Love the flowers, chintzy decor and especially the yummy take-away cookies!
- BEACH DAY @ Santa Monica
Burn off your brunch with a leisurely stroll from Santa Monica to Venice Beach for a bit of people watching and take in the sights of muscle beach!
- COCKTAILS @ The Nice Guy
Get your glam on at The Nice Guy, it’s an ultra-cool celeb hangout with the best burger and truffle fries in town! You know it’s trendy and posh when you aren’t allowed to take photos inside! Dress to impress and make sure your man does too because no shorts allowed!
- SHOPPING @ Rodeo Drive
Live out your Pretty Woman dreams and take a stroll down Rodeo Drive baby! Ok so it might be more window shopping as this is where the designer stores live, think Gucci, Balenciaga & Prada.
- OUT OUT @ Catch
The number one place to see and to be seen in! Open-air, rooftop style with a huge cocktail list and seafood to die for!
- HIKE @ Runyon Canyon
Don’t forget to pack your trainers as a hike up Runyon Canyon is a must and is a great hangover cure if you’ve overindulged the night before. Take in the views and feel part of the LA tribe.
